Spiritual Direction with Rob

Spiritual direction is a space to slow down, reflect, and pay attention to what is happening in your spiritual life. Individuals usually meet with a spiritual director once a month to explore a range of issues in their lives, including discernment, major life transitions, changing or evolving beliefs, grief, relationships, work, and sources of joy and strength.

Sessions are one hour and often include sacred conversation, silence, guided imagery, art, poetry, storytelling, and prayer.

Spiritual direction is not therapy or pastoral counseling and does not replace these important sources of care. For individuals addressing their mental or emotional health, spiritual direction can complement other therapeutic relationships.

As a member of Spiritual Directors International, I am committed to maintaining SDI’s Guidelines for Ethical Conduct. This includes honoring each directee or companion’s values, beliefs, and spiritual insights.

Sessions are offered online via Zoom. For those in the Chicago area, I can coordinate in-person sessions if preferred.

As I complete my doctoral work, all spiritual direction sessions are offered free of charge.
